Abstract
Predicting the detection, tracking, identification, and characterization performance of various sensing systems for NEO and space debris requires modeling and simulation. High fidelity modeling can be time consuming and prohibitive when responding to high-priority time-critical events or processing very large quantities of data or parameters. We will present a survey of various radiometric space based object modeling approaches to identify the performance and errors associated with each method and will recommend the best methods of modeling and simulation based on a number of conditions.
